Power to Touch

In some dark alley
a body lies shivering
cold and all alone.

On some street corner
a withered hand begs for change
you assume, for drugs.

In some apartment
a precious life is ended
friendless and untouched.

In some poor country
children are forced to labor
What hope do they have?

In your own free hands
lies the greatest hope of all
the power to touch.

So reach out your hand
if you touch only one life,
you have changed the world.

What did you think? I'd love to hear from you!
