It’s like all those times where there was a church function happening and we had to call someone for a ride because we couldn’t get there on our own. Of course they were always willing, but in
our my mind, we were a burden that we didn’t want to put on others.
At the restaurant when it gets busy and I feel that I might fall behind, I am obligated to ask for help. I’m so not used to that. But the satisfaction of the patrons depends on it, so I have to put aside my insecurities and get help.
Mind you, if there is something I’m having trouble with, that doesn’t require me to be rushed, I will take my time and muddle through until I get it.
