Discovering Whitehern Mansion

Perhaps I wanted a change of scenery, or maybe a longer walk to work. I’m not sure, but with the decision to change my route to work, I became enchanted with this place. Surrounded by high concrete walls.

My view as I walk down Hunter from Bay street.

Upon turning onto MacNab street you are greeted with an open gate and an inviting backyard garden.

At the front. The gates stand open and the mansion sits there, in all its glory.

Now that I know I actually have the option of getting into the place, at a small fee, I am beyond thrilled. The writer in me can’t wait to check this place out! I know from thier website that books and plays have been written about this place already, but what could a few more hurt?
