Blindfolds On

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Brilliant Disguise.”

Blindfolds on

we’re spinning in circles

in complete darkness.

Pinning tails

mostly where they don’t go.

Tripping over feet

walking into walls.

Swinging sticks

at the unseen pinata.

Blindfolds on

we’re spinning in circles

in complete darkness.

Making choices

with no regard

to the consequences,

and no way to take it back.

  1. I love your poem! I am currently blogging about getting out of debt and your poem really spoke to me because it describes the way i felt going through life without a strong financial plan.

What did you think? I'd love to hear from you!
